Scale & Massing

The aspiration of the draft Woodside Masterplan is to use height to create a new identity for developments along the waterfront. 

At this initial stage, the buildings’ heights are yet to be defined. However, the buildings are proposed to step up in height from west to east with the tallest building in the northwest corner. This aligns with the principles set out in the draft Woodside Masterplan and Birkenhead 2040 Framework. 

The buildings would be laid out so they are set back from Church Street and Priory Wharf to ensure development does not have an overbearing impact on neighbouring properties.
